Manchester City Vs Wigan Athletic
The Citizens lost to the Latics in the final of this competition five years ago, so expect a fiery match but marking the trident of Agüero, Sane and Sterling in the 30-yard box will be a Shangri-La. With Wigan winning last Six matches at Home in this competition and they hope to maintain the streak with last three wins coming against top teams in PL. Man City will hope to break the lines soon while Wigan will try to disposes the ball and wait for the Counter Attack. Any margin of error will cost both teams, Cup Final on Sunday will be a top priority for Man City but to win a Quadruple every match are important and Pep will field a strongest possible 11.
Agüero has scored 16 goals in 17 games from his debut in the competition in January 2012 and Sterling have involved nine goals in last nine matches scoring three and assisting six, so it will raining goals if Latics can’t keep their feet on the ground. To mark Agüero in final third and closing gaps when dragged wide by wing duos of Sane and Sterling will be an uphill task and keeping more possession is essential for progressing through the competition. Lastly, more depth and creativity from the bench of Citizens will a key factor and makes Man City the favourites in the competition.
