Real Madrid has a tough task ahead to keep their progression in the tournament.Though they have 2 away goals in hand and lead the game 2-1, they know it’s not a simple task to win against Bayern. This reminds me of the quarter-final of the same competition last year.Madrid led the first leg 2-1 and a huge drama happened at the very same Bernabeu, the German club came back with 2-1 making the score 3-3 moving the game to extra -time and Madrid made some magic which helped the home team prevail in the tournament.
Zidane has an impressive record in Champions league, he’s won it twice out of his two seasons after taking the job. And now, the competition is in-line! Zidane hasn’t lost any of the knockout stages in this tournament (I’ve already told he’s won it 2 out of 2).
Now, coming to tonight’s preparation, it’s hard for Madrid as they are playing without Isco and Carvajal both out due to injury, which is surely a blow to Madrid.Nacho is expected to replace Carvajal.Due to Isco’s injury, I think Asensio might get some extra minutes to play, And we all knew Asensio is great against Munich.Last game he scored, he also scored and assisted in the same tie last season.
Ronaldo broke his scoring streak in the Champions league the last match, and he also registered zero shots on target, after his goal being, turned down by ref stating it to be Handball.Ronaldo would like to bounce back, he might continue his masterpiece tonight.Madrid’s attack is quite good, and now defenders should do their job.
Coming to the Munich side, they are all filled with vengeance, they’ve lost all their recent six matches with Madrid and they don’t want this record to continue. And Robben joined the long list of Neuer, Boateng, Vidal, Coman who are injured. This is a big factor for Bayern and to lose a player such as Robben is difficult.
Two or three goals from the Madrid attack would help their defense to stop Munich attack. Thus, tonight is a big night for both the clubs and the team which performs will progress, despite the fact that both are Europe’s top teams, one game will have only one winner.
